My research centers on understanding the following:

1) The physiological responses of tundra species to long term experimental warming and snow manipulations - this work is part of the International Tundra Experiment (ITEX) and involves collaborations from researchers at 10 arctic field sites.
2) Interpreting remote sensing data to understand changes in arctic plant communities- this work was recently supported by an EPSCoR early career fellowship.
3) Understanding the constraints on the spread of invasive species, their potential impacts and control methods. I have studied invasive plants in Hawaii, the southeastern USA, Nevada and am collaborating with researchers in Alaska.
